No connection between Guest and Host OSX possible

Postby karteundkanu » Mon Jan 21, 2019 7:56 am

I am still working with FHMX on a 10 years old iMac running SnowLeopard and hoping it will run forever...

But I also got the OSXFH just to be secure it the other Mac will crash.

And I tried it out once, but was not able to connect the virtual system with the Host system for file exchange, to install other old software like AI CS5 or Indesign.

Now I will update to Mojave and therefor have to upgrade Parallels too, at a cost. But if OSXFH does not work for me (and others), there will be no reason to invest in Parallels...

Did I do anything wrong in the beginning or is there any bug known to cause this fail?

Issue solved.
Parallels installation issue - Parallels Tools did not install completely.
The virtual machine was put in sleep mode instead of shutdown / restart.
