Thanks, but I had already been there a year or so ago to get the "global serial number" to activate on another computer. This time it wouldn't work.
I did find the solution in one of the similar posts on this forum that discussed "keeping a live" version of Freehand MX on another computer so you can copy and paste the Macromedia Folder from it's HD>Library>Application Support to the same place on your new computer. After trying to activate on the new iBook computer this Folder contained a "registration" file for ?? Microsoft Graphic registration instead of the needed Freehand MX Registration file from my older computer. After making this Cut & Paste Freehand opened up and works after 2 days of frustration.
