Opening CS5 files

Postby Kathy_Bentzoni » Wed Jul 06, 2011 6:44 pm

I work in Freehand, so I convert AI files I get from Clients into FH files. The problem now is I only have AI CS and it won't open the new files. I can upgrade to CS5, but I don't have an Intel Mac, so I can't put CS5 on it. I wish I would have upgraded to CS4 when I had the chance, now I can't find a copy of that anywhere!
Any ideas about this?

You didn't say if you were on a Mac or PC but there are CS4 Design Suites still out there. In some cases they are brand new or upgrade versions and some are used. Here is an example on Amazon for the full price and open box copies. ... B001EUG4O6

And there is eBay but beware of pirated software posing as original Adobe-branded software.
